The Daily Poetry Stop
I am going back to my roots. The way I had originally envisioned this site. I will post random poems here. New, old, published and unpublished. I no longer feel that I need a motivational reason to write. It is just something I do.

I keep on seeing Your smiling faces What are you all Smiling for? There was a time When I used to smile Until I got thrown right Out of a closing door There wasn’t much I was asking for Just the back pay I Was owed For scrubbing the floors And cleaning out stalls At everyone’s favorite Mall Now outside here I sit In front of these posters Tall Filled with all these big white smiling faces You would think Nobody black shopped here at all or maybe they’re just like me standing out here with no pay no job no place now to rest my head just standing out here with nothing at all Still, they yell: “Hey guys, let’s head down to the Mall.” .
