The Daily Poetry Stop
I am going back to my roots. The way I had originally envisioned this site. I will post random poems here. New, old, published and unpublished. I no longer feel that I need a motivational reason to write. It is just something I do.

Insane

I watched as the bird Lost its flight And tumbled to the Ground I watched as the squirrel Crossed the street And was nowhere To be found I watched too as the boy Spread his coat For the girl Across town Only to be shamed for she treated him As a backward clown I watched as the boy Grew Into a teen And the teen into a man Who grew Implausibly mean And the streets Where he fed Were a flood From the many Who’s blood He shed From a flight he could not gain Or a squirrel He gave pain and The coat he had Lain In the Kingdom Of the insane .
