The Daily Poetry Stop

I am going back to my roots. The way I had originally envisioned this site. I will post random poems here. New, old, published and unpublished. I no longer feel that I need a motivational reason to write. It is just something I do.

Not as Planted

With a hurtful spade You dug a hole Filled it with hate And spiteful bitterness You laid the blade flat And patted it down As if something good Would grow from that ground Did you know that a hole of hate could be fertile ground for seeds placed gently with spade patted down could grow a tree so lovely That bear fruit so tasty while on a blanket you sit Waiting for all to gather round and partake of the happiness and of the shade Grown from hate is now love found .
