The Daily Poetry Stop
I am going back to my roots. The way I had originally envisioned this site. I will post random poems here. New, old, published and unpublished. I no longer feel that I need a motivational reason to write. It is just something I do.

Can We Talk?
© by Aubrey E. Drummond
Would you mind telling me The cause of your bugging? Somehow, could the reason be Me that keeps us from hugging? Oftentimes, the summer turns blue When things aren’t going right Did I break some unknown rule The cause of this sad night? With each other We’re in open wonder Let’s sit down and begin to talk It would stop us From going under It would keep us from A fool’s bind walk Let’s sit down and talk it over We can keep this loving heat There’s no reason for a four-leaf clover We can keep this loving sweet .
